New Album BREATHING - Release August 28th

I breathe, therefore I am. 

With this reflection on breathing as the most intimate human experience - one that connects people through language, movement and touch -  Alexander and I have dedicated our new album to "Breathing". 

Very happy and excited - the album will be released on August 28th on Challenge Records International. Aaand the best thing is: There will also be a vinyl !!! 

First Single "Learning to breathe" will be dropped on July 31st.

album together a few months ago... and we are very happy to announce it will be released on August 28th this year on the dutch label CHALLENGE RECORDS INTERNATIONAL 

Livingroom Recordings - Esther Kaiser unplugged 

I have been writing a lot of new songs lately. On my YouTube channel  I will share some of them in what I call "Livingroom Recordings" - I am singing my own songs accompanying myself on my grand piano in my home. So this is just me playing and singing solo. Quite intimate. Unplugged. Very pure. Without effects or filters.

It´s quite a challenge to let go of the doubts we all know as artists.

Like: "Is it really good enough, can I show myself in my private space, can I really accompany myself, is that still jazz... etc."

Yes, it´s quite a journey...  just like living, breathing, creating, loving, being touched and being inspired. 

I am absolutely sure it´s worth it!

So - enjoy some brand new music.

New Album "MOVING TIMES" May 2025

Happy to announce a new album coming in May! It´s the beautiful result of a collaboration between jazz guitarist Axel Fischbacher an me, alongside two great  jazz musicians of the young european scene, Genevieve O´Driscoll (bass) and Michael Knippschild (drums/ vibes). 

The album will be released on Double Moon Records (via Challenge Records NL) and it´s a pleasure to work with this lovely team! 

The album cover shows a painting by canadien artist Genevieve White who painted in the process to listening to our music... we are very grateful for this collaboration!

ESIZA - neues Projekt mit Izabella Effenberg

Die Vibraphonisten, Glasharfenistin und mehrfach mit Preisen ausgezeichnete Multi-Instrumentalistin Izabella Effenberg und die Jazzvokalistin, Gesangsprofessorin und „Jazzpoetin“ (Zitty Berlin, 2018) Esther Kaiser:

Zwei Frauen, zwei gestandene Musikerpersönlichkeiten - und zusammen erschaffen sie ein ganzes Orchester voller Klänge. Hier haben sich zwei aussergewöhnliche Klangkünstlerinnen gefunden die ihre Leidenschaft für ungewöhnliche Sounds und exotische Instrumente teilen - und ihrer Liebe zur Improvisation freien Lauf lassen. 

Dies kann man jetzt auch auf Esther Kaisers YouTube Kanal erleben - es wird in der nächsten Zeit einige neue Videos des ungewöhnlichen Duos zu sehen geben!

Am 7.9. ist das Duo ausserdem beim Münchener Klangfest zu erleben, am 24.11. im DB Museum Nürnberg (feat. Isabelle Bodenseh - flute)
